About

Our Mission

The mission of the IBEW Local 193 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is to provide the electrical industry with the most highly trained and skilled workforce possible.

We aim to produce elite trade professionals by delivering comprehensive apprenticeship programs that cover all aspects of work in the electrical sector. Our evidence-based curriculum combines rigorously structured on-the-job learning with advanced theoretical classroom education.

By partnering apprentices with the best contractors and IBEW journeymen, we provide unparalleled real-world experiences under proper supervision and guidance. Our instructors are seasoned professionals who stay current with the latest techniques, safety protocols, and National Electrical Code standards.

The JATC is invested in more than just technical skills – we build character and pride. We train apprentices to represent the IBEW with the highest level of workmanship, professionalism, and expertise. Our goal is to mold tradesmen who will uphold union principles and excel in their field.

With state-of-the-art training centers and equipment, our objective is to deliver affordable, industry-leading apprenticeship instruction that offers maximum value to both apprentices and employers. Our programs aim to fulfill current needs and also prepare members for future technological advances in the electrical industry.
