Current Apprentices
Log Hours with TradeSchool
TradeSchool is the JATC’s official platform for tracking your on-the-job training (OJT) hours. Your login credentials are provided by the JATC office upon enrollment.
With your TradeSchool account you can:
- Log OJT hours after each shift or work week
- View running totals toward your required 8,000 hours (Inside Wireman) or 6,500 hours (Telecom)
- Record details on work performed and skills practiced
- Access from any device – desktop browser or mobile app
- Monitor your advancement standing through each 6-month period
Hours sync directly with the JATC’s reporting system. Log your hours consistently — falling behind on OJT entry can delay advancement to the next period.
Pay for Tools/Books
Required textbooks, toolkits, and supplies for your apprenticeship are available through the JATC training center. Payments are processed securely through our portal.
- A required tool list with approved brands and specs is provided at orientation
- Textbooks are issued each semester through the JATC training center
- Secure payment by credit/debit card or ACH bank transfer

Pay Dues
IBEW Local 193 union dues can be paid conveniently online through the ProTech member portal. Keeping dues current is required to maintain good standing as an apprentice.
- Log in to ProTech with your member credentials to access the dues payment portal
- Make one-time payments or set up recurring automatic payments
- Accepted methods: major credit/debit cards and ACH bank transfer
- View your full payment history and dues receipts online
